Q:
Scheduled airline or flight?Answer
A:
Scheduled flights are organised directly by airlines who look after the whole
process. Scheduled flights operate all year round and are given fixed or "scheduled" departure
times. The cost of a scheduled ticket is calculated over the year and the
airlines take into consideration factors such as time of year and demand.
Therefore this means that scheduled fares are often higher in order to
cover the costs of any empty seats. Likewise, Scheduled airlines tend not
to discount at the last minute (in fact more often than not the price is
more expensive within two weeks of departure), however they do release
special rate fares on occasion.
Q:
Charter airline or flight?Answer
A:
Charter flights are organised by Tour Opeartors in order to supply cost effective transport to their featured holiday destinations. Charter flights tend to run in seasons - summer season and winter season. Charter flights normally operate on weekly rotations so that flights are only available for durations of one or two weeks. Charter fares tend to vary greatly depending on supply and demand. This is because the Tour Operators will always try to fill their aircraft in order to keep costs to a minimum.
Q:
Lowcost airline or flight?Answer
A:
Lowcost flights, also known as No Frills flights, refers to an airline that generally has lower fees but fewer onboard comforts. Quite often the lowcost airline may charge for extras like food, priority boarding, seat allocating, and baggage, etc.
