St Anton is one of the oldest and most famous ski resorts in the world. Located in the northern Austrian Arlberg region, the terrain surrounding it is vast, with more than 170 miles of ski runs shared between St Anton and its neighbour, Lech.

St Anton has a long history in competitive skiing. The first ski club in the Alps was founded here in 1901. St Anton has since become a major force in ski racing over the past century, most recently staging the Alpine World Championships in 2001. This status attracts some of the most advanced skiers from all over the world, giving the bars, chalets, hotels and restaurants of St Anton a cosmopolitan feel.

Activities & facilities at St Anton

The large leisure complex has great swimming and spa facilities. Indoor facilities include bowling, tennis as well as squash courts, ice skating and a good selection of shops and fashion boutiques lining the main street. Outdoor recreational activities include 40km of cross country skiing trails, 70km of hiking paths and a 4km long toboggan run. You can also take a sleigh ride.

St Anton is big on après ski with a choice of bars and clubs including the famous Krazy Kangeruh or Mooserwirt. The restaurant scene is more sophisticated with some excellent culinary experiences available along with more basic establishments and pizzerias.
