Adventure Camping Safari
This camping safari has been designed to offer a high quality wildlife safari experience whilst enjoying the thrill of ‘real camping’. The Mobile Safari camps are set in exclusive camp sites in the Selenkay Conservancy and the Ol Kinyei Conservancy.
The Selenkay Conservancy, situated north of Amboseli National Park offers a truly wild experience. The local Masai community have set aside this area as a reserve for wildlife and limited the number of visitors which has created a wild and unspoilt area.
The Ol Kinyei Conservancy also belongs to the local Masai Community who have made it a sanctuary for wildlife with no human settlements or cattle present. This pristine wilderness offers open savannah plains, riverine forest, springs, streams and rivers. The wildebeest migration from Loita plains passes through the reserve into the Mara reserve. Many animal species are present including lions, leopards, buffaloes and elephants.
In each camp a safari guide, experienced safari cook and camp staff are on hand to do all the work associated with camping including, washing up, heating water for showers and preparing and serving daily meals.
Accommodation is in 2-man dome tents (10ft x 10ft, 6ft high). Each tent has its own flush toilet and safari shower located behind the tent. Guests sleep on high density mattresses. Sleeping bags and towels are provided.
All game drives are conducted in open-sided 4×4 vehicles with a maximum of six passengers. The driver/guide has a wealth of wildlife knowledge and you will experience day and night game drives, in the exclusive wildlife conservancies. Other activities include escorted nature walks with Masai guides, Masai village visit and the opportunity to visit Amboseli National Park and Masai Mara National Reserve.

This is ‘Adventure Camping’ with accommodation in small 2-man dome tents and is basic camping without all the facilities of the tented lodges or luxury permanent camps. High density mattresses are provided inside the dome tent as well as sleeping bags and towels. All meals are prepared by the camp cook. Mineral water is provided in camp and on game drives, but guests need to buy their own drinks at a supermarket en route to each camp. The big attraction is being in small campsites, in exclusive wildlife conservancies, with activity-packed itineraries and excellent guides, and with game drives in open-sided 4×4 safari vehicles. Children under 10 are not permitted on this safari.
