Start in Botswana which is a country of unimaginable beauty and, undoubtedly, one of the greatest wildlife destinations. Then to Zimbabwe and the magnificent Victoria Falls where a multitude of activities are on offer. Finally, Hwange National Park, the largest game reserve in Zimbabwe, lies in the west, on the main road between Bulawayo and Victoria Falls. True wilderness experience and some fantastic game viewing opportunities.
DAY 1 HEATHROW-VICTORIA FALLS
Fly overnight from Heathrow to Johannesburg on South African Airways. Connect with flight to Victoria Falls.
DAY 2 CHOBE
On arrival at Victoria Falls Airport you will be met and transferred to Botswana and on to Ngoma Safari Lodge, which is situated within the Chobe Forest Reserve, bordering the western edge of Chobe National Park and overlooking the Chobe River. Enjoy a late afternoon game drive in the Chobe Forest Reserve. Overnight: Ngoma Safari Lodge. (l,d)
DAY 3 CHOBE
Enjoy a full day of game activities including a cruise on the Chobe River, driving through the Chobe National Park and a sumptuous picnic lunch and drinks. Overnight: Ngoma Safari Lodge. (b,l,d)
DAY 4 VICTORIA FALLS
Before you depart for Victoria Fall enjoy a cultural experience and interact with a local community and visit the local school, the clinic and the village. Continue your journey to Victoria Falls and onto Victoria Falls Safari Club. At lunch time view the ‘vulture restaurant’, where hundreds of vultures come to feed every lunch time in front of the waterhole. This afternoon enjoy a sunset cruise on the mighty Zambezi River, just upstream from the magnificent Falls. Overnight: Victoria Falls Safari Club. (b)
DAY 5 VICTORIA FALLS
Depart on a morning tour of Victoria Falls, one of the 7 natural wonders of the world. This evening enjoy a fantastic dining experience at the Boma. The Boma is an African feast to savour – as well as delicious food there are African performers dancing and singing, drumming sessions – a real African extravaganza! DAY 6 HWANGE
After breakfast, you will be transferred by road to the famous Hwange National Park, and the Hide Safari Camp. This authentic tented safari camp is situated on a private concession within Hwange National Park. There is never a dull moment at the Hide, in fact, the waterhole, just metres from the lodge, attracts such a variety of wildlife that you may not need to roam too far from your veranda to enjoy the action. DAY 7 HWANGE
Enjoy the many activities that are on offer here at the Hide; morning and afternoon guided walks, morning and afternoon game drives, night drives with a spotlight and ‘hide sits’ around pans. Overnight: The Hide Safari Camp. (b,l,d)
DAY 8 HEATHROW
Enjoy your last game drive as you leave Hwange National Park, before being transferred back to Victoria Falls Airport for your flight to Johannesburg to connect with your South African Airways overnight flight to Heathrow. (b)
