This is a 10-night holiday visiting Cape Town in South Africa, Victoria Falls in Zambia and the Okavango Delta in Botswana.
DAY 1 DAILY HEATHROW – CAPE TOWN
Fly from Heathrow overnight to Cape Town via Johannesburg .
DAY 2 CAPE TOWN
On arrival transfer to your hotel. Day at your own leisure. Overnight: Southern Sun Waterfront.
DAY 3 CAPE TOWN
Today’s excursion takes you along the Atlantic coastline and via Chapman’s Peak Drive to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, where you have the option of using the funicular to reach the main viewing site at Cape Point. On leaving the reserve continue along the False Bay coastline to Simonstown for a lunch stop, and a visit to the penguin colony at Boulders Beach. Before returning to your hotel stop at the famous Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, where you will have free time to explore. Overnight: Southern Sun Waterfront (b)
DAY 4 CAPE TOWN
Today explore the winelands of the Western Cape and the picturesque town of Franschhoek where you will have free time. In the afternoon continue to the university town of Stellenbosch and the surrounding wine areas. During the course of the day there will be an opportunity to taste some of the excellent wines produced in this area and you will stop at a local restaurant for an optional lunch. DAY 5 CAPE TOWN – LIVINGSTONE
Transfer to the airport for the flight to Johannesburg and connect with your flight to Livingstone. Transfer to your hotel, which is within walking distance of the Falls. Later in the afternoon take a sunset cruise on the Zambezi and enjoy a ‘sundowner’ whilst spotting game. Overnight: Zambezi Sun. (b)
DAY 6 LIVINGSTONE
This morning take a guided tour of the Victoria Falls. The remainder of the day is free to either return to the Falls, visit the town of Livingstone, or, for the brave hearted, why not try some of the white knuckle activities on offer. Overnight: Zambezi Sun. (b)
DAY 7 LIVINGSTONE
Today you are free to explore the area, or relax. You could take advantage of one of the many activities available. Overnight: Zambezi Sun. (b)
DAY 8 LIVINGSTONE-OKAVANGO DELTA
Transfer by road and ferry to Kasane in Botswana for the light aircraft flight to the Okavango Delta. Overnight: Camp Okavango. (b,d)
DAY 9 OKAVANGO DELTA
Morning and afternoon game activities. Overnight: Camp Okavango. (b,l,d)
DAY 10 OKAVANGO DELTA-MOREMI
Transfer to your next camp in Moremi, arriving in time for lunch, then an afternoon activity. Overnight: Camp Moremi. (b,l,d)
DAY 11 MOREMI
Morning and afternoon activities with time in between to relax. Overnight: Camp Moremi. (b,l,d)
DAY 12 MOREMI-MAUN-HEATHROW
Today we have a final activity and breakfast before the transfer to Maun airport for the flight to Johannesburg and your onward flight to Heathrow, or your chosen extension. (b)
