Classical Music on the Rhine

Day 1 London – Amsterdam
Titan’s VIP Home Departure Service® transports you from your front door to London Heathrow or London Gatwick airport and your direct, scheduled British Airways flight to Amsterdam. On arrival our coach will transfer you to MS Amadeus Princess for an afternoon embarkation with time to settle in before a welcome dinner and concert onboard this evening.

Day 2 Amsterdam
We spend this morning in Amsterdam, the capital city of the Netherlands. Admire the beautiful 17th and 18th century buildings and during our city tour we will enjoy an included concert as well as seeing Dam square, the Royal Palace and the museum quarter home to the renowned Rijksmuseum. We rejoin the ship in time for lunch and this afternoon we sail along the IJsselmeer – the largest lake in Western Europe

Day 3 Cologne – Bonn
This morning we arrive in Cologne, one of Germany’s most important trade centres and home to one of the largest cathedrals in Europe. Make the most of your free time and perhaps enjoy a visit to this wonderful example of gothic architecture. This afternoon we sail to Bonn arriving late afternoon. Whilst here, we have the wonderful opportunity to visit the house of Beethoven and enjoy a piano concert before returning to the ship.

Day 4 Cochem
We arrive in Cochem early afternoon where we will enjoy a city walk to explore the architectural attractions of this city. Explore Cochem’s narrow alleys with its half-timbered houses before enjoying a wine tasting of local wines from the Moselle region. This evening we return to the ship and enjoy an evening concert onboard.

Day 5 Koblenz – Rudesheim
Spend the morning exploring Koblenz, situated at the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle. Enjoy exploring the narrow streets, historic squares and fountains in the old quarter before returning to the ship where you will be treated to an onboard musical tea party as the ship sails gently to Rüdesheim. On arrival in Rüdesheim enjoy a city tour and also a visit to Siegfried’s Mechanical Music Museum.

Day 6 Speyer
Enjoy a full day at leisure in Speyer. Perhaps wander around the old town and visit Speyer Cathedral, the final resting place of German emperors for nearly 300 years. This evening enjoy the Captain’s Gala Dinner onboard.

Day 7 Strasbourg
We arrive in Strasbourg early this morning and enjoy a city tour to explore the attractive city centre; a UNESCO Heritage site with its narrow streets and half timbered houses and of course the Cathedral of Notre Dame de Strasbourg, an outstanding example of Gothic architecture. We will also take in a special organ concert in St Thomas church. This evening enjoy a farewell concert on board.

Day 8 Basel – London
After breakfast onboard this morning we disembark MS Amadeus Princess and transfer to Basel Airport for our British Airways flight to London Heathrow, where our staff will greet you and transfer you to Titan transport for your journey home to your own front door.
