Croatian Splendour with a taste of Montenegro

Day 1 London – Solin
We begin with Titan’s VIP Home Departure Service® to London Gatwick for your direct, scheduled British Airways fl ight to Dubrovnik. On arrival we travel north by coach with a stop en route for refreshment. In the evening we will arrive at our hotel the 5★ Hotel President, Solin, 6km from Split which will be our peaceful base for the next four nights with dinner served here each evening.

Day 2 Solin
Today we leave you to choose how you wish to spend your time, whether it be exploration or merely relaxing at your hotel.

Day 3 Split
After breakfast we have included a guided sightseeing tour of Split when we will have the opportunity to discover its historic centre, including entrance to Diocletian’s Palace, which is considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site. As its name suggests, the Roman Emperor Diocletian, who was born in Dalmatia, built the Palace in the 3rd century AD and it is a combination of an Imperial Villa and a Roman stronghold. Through the centuries and various rulers, including the Byzantine, Venetians and Austro-Hungarians, a city flowered within its grounds. You are free to make your own explorations for the afternoon.

Day 4 Krka National Park
A magical day awaits us as we venture north to Krka National Park, where winding paths, bridges and steps link a wonderful series waterfalls that make up most of this National Park, divided by deep canyons and all surrounded by lush, green forest. We later depart from Skradinski Buk by boat to Skadrin, which was badly damaged during the conflict due to its position between Croat dominated Sibenik and a Serb controlled area but it is now again a place of peace and beauty.

Day 5 Solin – Babin Kuk
We leave after breakfast and journey south with time to stop at one of the coastal towns such as Makarska or Tucepi. At Neum we will pass through a small part of Bosnia and Herzegovina on our way to Dubrovnik. We arrive later at our hotel in Babin Kuk, an area a short distance from Dubrovnik where we will stay for the next three nights with your evening meal included each night at the 4★ Valamar President Hotel or 4★ Valamar Lacroma.

Day 6 Dubrovnik
We drive to the centre of Dubrovnik to discover one of the world’s best preserved fortified cities as we enjoy a guided walking tour of the Old Town. The city is often referred to as the ‘Pearl of the Adriatic’ and its attraction is certainly easy to see with its red roofs huddle together against the azure setting of the Adriatic, bathed in glorious sunshine. Inside its two kilometres of old city walls are the Rector’s Palace and the Franciscan Monastery famous for its pharmacy dating back to 1317, providing an example of how sophisticated this independent republic was in its heyday.

Day 7 Kotor
Today we depart by coach for a full day excursion to Kotor Bay in Montenegro, the only fjord in the Mediterranean. On arrival we have included a short city tour of Kotor to introduce you to the area after which there will be time at leisure before a brief stop in Budva. Later this afternoon we return by ferry from Lepetane to Kamenari and then by coach back to Dubrovnik with a chance to admire the beautiful coastline.

Day 8 Babin Kuk – London
Today we travel to Dubrovnik Airport for your direct, scheduled British Airways flight to London Gatwick. Here our staff will greet you and transfer you to Titan transport for your journey home to your front door

Please note:
Due to the medieval layout of certain towns and access at Krka Falls, walking on uneven surfaces will be necessary and pavements can be slippery in Dubrovnik Old Town.
Euros are required in Montenegro on day 7.
