Day 1 London, Budapest
Begin with Titan’s VIP Home Departure Service® to London Heathrow or Gatwick Airport for your scheduled British Airways or another leading airline flight to Budapest. Meet your Uniworld representative on arrival and transfer to the port to embark the River Beatrice.

Budapest is an enchanting city with a vibrant mix of East and West, medieval and modern. Made up of two parts – Buda, the hills and Pest, the flat lands, it is divided by the Danube and is an architectural dream. Your city tour features the famous Chain Bridge, an early 19th century bridge that was the first to connect Buda with Pest, the UNESCO-listed Castle Hill district and the 19th century Fisherman’s Bastion with dramatic vistas of the city. Captain’s Welcome Dinner this evening.
Day 3 Cruising the Danube, Vienna
Enjoy a day of leisure onboard your floating hotel as your ship slowly winds its way up the enchanting Danube and meanders through a series of locks.
Day 4 Vienna

Vienna is a treasure trove of secular and sacred gems and the stately Ringstrasse – the broad thoroughfare surrounded by the many imperial buildings and monuments that give Vienna its wedding cake appearance. Your city tour will take you along the Ringstrasse to visit the National Library and the Baroque State Hall of the Austrian National Library, said to be the most beautiful library room in the world. Or choose to experience ‘Vienna as the Viennese Do’ with an intimate walking tour of Vienna’s historic centre, travelling by foot and subway with the locals.
Day 5 Durnstein, Cruising the Wachau Valley, Melk
Included Excursions:Wachau Valley wine tasting at Domane Wachau and Melk Abbey Tour
Awake in the tiny baroque village of Dürnstein seemingly lost in time and visit Domane Wachau for a tasting of the famous Wachau Valley Rieslings. Dürnstein is perhaps most famous for being where Richard the Lionhearted was held captive in 1192 and 1193 until he paid a heavy ransom in silver. Take time to wander through the village with its old burgher houses and 16th-18th century townhouses, ending at the exquisite baroque cathedral. Depart Dürnstein and cruise through the heart of the fairytale, vineyardrich Wachau Valley with its abruptly rising hills, nestling baroque villages and ancient monuments. This fascinating stretch of landscape along the Danube has recently been declared a UNESCO World Heritage site. You arrive in Melk, famous for its Benedictine Abbey high atop the granite cliffs of the Danube. A tour will allow you to marvel at the famous Melk Cross.
For 2014 you can alternatively enjoy a culinary experience, a workshop on how to distinguish Saffron qualities, what it tastes like, how to cook with Saffron and tasting of samples.
Day 6 Linz (Salzburg)

Alternative Excursion: For 2013 ¾ day Steyr and Gmunden visit (lunch not provided), for 2014 Linz and surroundings with farm visit and cider tasting
This morning you will travel overland to Salzburg, ‘the city of salt’and most famously known as the setting for ‘The Sound of Music’. Your city tour will take in the Old Town on foot, see the Mirabellgarten and visit the 15th century Cathedral before returning to the ship. Alternatively enjoy a ¾ day visit to Steyr and Gmunden (2013) or explore Linz and its surroundings (2014). Steyr is one of the best-preserved old towns in Austria.
Day 7 Passau
Included Excursions:Walking Tour and St. Stephan’s Organ Concert
Your guided walk starts in the medieval section of Passau, and then takes you past St. Stephan’s Cathedral, home to Europe’s largest pipe organ. Later, you return to St. Stephan’s for an organ concert. Captain’s Farewell Dinner this evening.

Day 8 Passau, Munich, London
Disembark the ship and transfer to Munich Airport for your British Airways or another leading airline flight home. Arrive at London Heathrow or Gatwick where our staff will meet you and our transport will transfer you to your own front door.
