Enchanting York Christmas

Day 1 York
Titan’s VIP Home Departure Service® for our journey to York and the Best Western Monkbar Hotel. There is time to settle in before a welcome drink this evening, followed by dinner and light entertainment. Our included evening meals are normally taken together as a group in a function room with a 3-course table d’hôte menu served except for Christmas Day dinner, which will be a cold buffet.

Day 2 Christmas Eve, York
After breakfast, your time is free to perhaps take a short walk into the walled city of York for shopping and sightseeing. The Shambles, York Minster and Castle Museum (subject to opening hours) are all within a few minutes of the hotel. This evening dinner will be served followed by entertainment. Should you wish to attend a local church service, hot drinks will be served on your return to the hotel.

Day 3 Christmas Day, York
Merry Christmas! Breakfast is served in the restaurant and then you can relax in the festive surroundings of your hotel. Buck’s Fizz will be served before we sit down to a traditional Christmas lunch. This afternoon provides an opportunity to sit back and watch the Queen’s speech, or perhaps stroll along York’s historic walls. This evening our hosts have prepared a cold buffet followed by the hotel’s very own quiz with prizes.

Day 4 Boxing Day, York, Fountains Abbey
This morning, we set out for our tour into the beautiful Yorkshire countryside. We have arranged a visit to the National Trust’s Fountains Abbey with an included guided tour of what is now the most complete Cistercian abbey remains in Britain. Afterwards, lunch has been arranged at the Millstones Restaurant near Harrogate. Returning to York in the afternoon, there will be time to freshen up before dinner, followed by musical entertainment.
Please note: During the visit to Fountains Abbey there is a walk of approximately half a mile from the Visitor Centre to the Abbey which includes a downward sloping path. This may not be suitable for those with walking difficulties.

Day 5 York
After the final breakfast we are collected by our Titan driver at approximately 10am for the return journey home to your own front door.
