Day 1 : Fly to Bangkok
Fly overnight to Bangkok.
Day 2 : Arrive & Explore
On arrival you will be met by your expert tour guide and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. (D)
Day 3 : Eastern & Oriental Express
Board your train, and enjoy a welcome reception on board before your adventure begins. (B,D)
Day 4 : Traditional Isan Village
The first morning brings a captivating tour of a traditional Isan village with an opportunity to participate in the sacred thread ceremony with local elders. Lunch is served on board the train, followed by a late afternoon visit to Prasat Sikhoraphum. Enjoy an informal dinner on board before a relaxing evening. (B,L,D)
Day 5 : Phanom Rung Khmer Temple
Take a morning tour of Phanom Rung Khmer Temple. Built between the 10th and 13th centuries, and set amongst lush gardens atop an extinct volcano, the temple is breathtaking. The rest of the afternoon is at leisure. (B,L,D)
Day 6 : Discover Chiang Mai
Spend the day in Chiang Mai, a laid back, spiritual city with down-to-earth charm, bordered by misty, jungle covered mountains. You may wish to join an optional tour to an elephant sanctuary, a tour of Doi Suthep mountain temple, or spend the afternoon shopping in the city. (B,L,D)
Day 7 : Explore Lampang
Enjoy a pony carriage tour of Lampang and morning tea at historic Baan Sao Nak – the House of Many Pillars. (B,L,D)
Day 8 : Khao Yai or Pak Chong
Choose between two tours today – visit either Khao Yai National Park, a tropical jungle where you can spot wildlife, or a walk through the bustling morning market at Pak Chong. Enjoy lunch at the celebrated GranMonte family winery, and tour the vineyard. Back on board enjoy a farewell cocktail party. (B,L,D)
Day 9 : Bangkok
After breakfast, leave your train behind and transfer to your hotel. This afternoon, take a tour of the glittering Grand Palace. (B)

Fly to the UK.
