Days 1-2 : Fly to Beijing
Fly overnight to Beijing, China’s capital city.
Days 3-4 : Explore Beijing
Explore Beijing finest gardens. Our evening meal includes the local delicacy, Peking Duck. The next day walk on the Great Wall, tour the Summer Palace and see a Chinese Acrobat show.
Day 5 : Temple of Heaven Park
Visit Temple of Heaven Park, Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City.
Day 6 : Fly to Xian
Fly to Xian. Walk along the Ancient City Wall, and enjoy a Shui Jiao dumpling meal and performance of Tang Dynasty dancing.
Days 7-8 : Terracotta Warriors
Visit the Terracotta Warriors and Huaqing Hot Springs. The next day visit Xian Botanical Garden and the site of the 2011 World Horticultural Expo.
Day 9 : Guilin Botanical Garden
Fly to Guilin. Visit the Botanical Garden, home to over 3,000 species of subtropical plants and see a display of traditional cormorant fishing.
Days 10-11 : Explore Guilin
Cruise the stunning Li River to Yangshuo. Return to Guilin and the next day travel to Longji and explore the dramatic rice terraces.
Days 12-13 : Guilin to Suzhou
Travel to Suzhou. The next day visit the Humble Administrator’s Garden, the Garden of the Master of the Nets and cruise on the ancient Grand Canal before travelling to Shanghai.
Day 14 : Chenshan Botanical Gardens
Tour Chenshan Botanical Gardens with a local curator. Visit Yu Gardens, Old Town and cruise on Huangpu River.
Day 15 : Fly Shanghai to UK
Fly to UK
