Day 1 : Fly to Delhi
Fly overnight to India’s energetic capital, Delhi.
Day 2 : Arrive & Explore
On arrival you will be met by your expert tour guide and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to explore.
Day 3 : Discover Delhi
Sightseeing begins with a visit to the busy Chandni Chowk Bazaar and Jama Masjid, India’s largest mosque. You will also have a brief stop at India Gate and the Red Fort before you visit the Lakshmi Narayan Hindu Temple, Humayun’s Tomb and Connaught Markets for some late afternoon shopping. That evening, dine at the Olive Bar & Kitchen, situated in an ancient Mughal mansion. (B,L,D)
Day 4 : Sikandra & Agra
Leave Delhi and visit Sikandra to see the marble and red sandstone tomb of Emperor Akbar. Sikandra, created in the Mughal architectural style, was built in 1605 and is constructed from a deep red sandstone enhanced with white marble features. Afterwards, continue to Agra, home to the UNESCO World Heritage sites; the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri. (B,L)
Day 5 : The Taj Mahal
Rise early to view the enchanting Taj Mahal in all its glory at sunrise. Witness the marble change colour as the sun rises and discover why this monument to love draws nearly four million visitors a year. Afterwards, visit the UNESCO World Heritage listed Agra Fort. Return to your hotel and that evening dine at the Radisson Blu’s Dawat-e-Nawab restaurant. (B,L,D)
Day 6 : Chand Baori Stepwell
Travel to Jaipur, stopping at the ghost city of Fatehpur Sikri en route. The next stop is Abhaneri village, where you’ll marvel at the ancient Chand Baori Stepwell. Over 1,000 years old, this eerily beautiful stepwell was originally dedicated to Harshat Mata, the Goddess of Joy and Happiness. Afterwards continue to Jaipur, known as the Pink City. (B,L)
Day 7 : Jaipur
Begin with a stop at Hawa Mahal, also known as the Palace of the Winds. Travel to the formidable Amber Fort and continue to the City Palace, Jantar Mantar Observatory and the local bazaar in Choti Choper. That evening, return to the Amber Fort and dine at the 1135 AD restaurant, located inside the highest ramparts. (B,L,D)
Day 8 : Kingdom of Dreams
Leave Jaipur and drive towards Delhi. Stay in Gurgaon, an emerging city located 30km from Delhi. That night you will experience the Kingdom of Dreams, a live entertainment destination that showcases Indian culture, including folk dancing performances, Indian craft and souvenirs, palm reading, and tea tasting. Here you will watch a magical Bollywood performance. Dinner that evening will be at the Kingdom of Dreams. (B,L,D)
Day 9 : Fly Delhi to UK
Fly to the UK, arriving home later the same or following day. (B)
