Day 1 London – Amsterdam
Begin with the Titan’s VIP Home Departure Service to London Heathrow or Gatwick Airport for your scheduled British Airways or another leading airline flight to Amsterdam. Meet your Uniworld representative on arrival and transfer to the port to embark the River Duchess.
Day 2 Amsterdam
Your included city tour this morning will take you through canal-lined streets where you will view Mint Tower, Dam Square, the Royal Palace and Museum Square. Visit the renowned Rijksmuseum that houses the world’s most important collection of paintings by the Dutch Masters. Alternatively, you may choose to visit the Van Gogh Museum.

Day 3 Cologne
Today’s walking tour takes you through the narrow streets of the Old Town, passing by tiny squares and little churches as you make your way to the magnificent Cologne Cathedral where the earthly remains of the Three Kings of the Magi are believed to lay to rest.

Day 4 Boppard – Cruising the Romantic Rhine – Rüdesheim
Enjoy time at leisure in Boppard before cruising to Rüdesheim. The town is famous for, among other things, the Drosselgasse, its long avenue of shops and wine bars and the impressive Niederwald Monument. You will also visit Siegfried’s Museum, one of the world’s best collections of mechanical musical instruments.

Day 5 Frankfurt
Situated on the River Main, Frankfurt offers views of a magnificent skyline known as the financial capital of Europe. Frankfurt is famous for its many trade shows and was also the birthplace of the renowned German writer, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe.

Day 6 Miltenberg
Your adventures along this breathtakingly beautiful section of the river begin with a visit to Miltenberg, a medieval town with crooked streets and leaning houses that are right out of the pages of a German fairytale. Your walking tour takes you past Main Castle on the way into Old Town and New Square. From there, you will see the famous Royal Inn, which has been a working hotel since the 16th century; the aptly named Crooked House and Old Square.

Day 7 Würzburg (Rothenburg or Würzburg)
Travel along the Romantic Road, a spectacular route winding through Bavaria to the Alps. When you arrive in Rothenburg this morning, you will feel as if you are stepping back in time to the Middle Ages, as the city walls still stand, protecting the charming core of gothic churches and gabled houses from intruders. This afternoon you will visit the Würzburg Residence before returning to the ship.

You are now in the centre of the Main region, where the towns are untouched by time. Enjoy a guided walk through Bamberg’s Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Marvel at Renaissance palaces, baroque houses and a breathtaking cathedral.

Day 11 Passau
Enjoy a scenic sailing of Schloegener Schlinge before arriving in Passau where you will enjoy a walking tour. Your guided walk will start in the medieval section of Passau and then takes you to St. Stephan’s Cathedral – home to Europe’s largest pipe organ.

Day 12 Cruising the Wachau Valley – Vienna
The city tour will take you along the stately Ringstrasse to visit the National Library and the Baroque State Hall of the Austrian National Library. Alternatively, explore Vienna’s historic town centre by foot and subway as the locals do. This is followed by a daylight afternoon sailing of the beautiful Wachau Valley.

Day 13 -14 Vienna
Spend two days at leisure enjoying Vienna on your own.
Day 15 Vienna
With your panoramic city overview, travel the stately Ringstrasse to St. Stephen’s Cathedral where Mozart was married in 1782. You will visit the National Library, then onto the Baroque State Hall of the Austrian Library. Or choose to explore “Vienna City of Arts” on an exclusive art-historian guided tour of the Museum of Fine Arts.

Day 16 Bratislava
Your tour of the ‘Coronation City of Kings’ is a real treat as you discover the lively restored historical centre with its beautiful shops, inviting cafés and squares.

Day 17 Szentendre Island – Budapest
Enjoy a visit to Szentendre Island where you will enjoy experiencing the Hungarian hospitality with local specialities ‘Pálinka’ and a ‘Pogácsa’ and a show of Hungarian horsemanship. Later, enjoy time at leisure in Budapest.

Day 18 Budapest
Your city tour will feature the UNESCO-listed Castle Hill district, the 19th century Fisherman’s Bastion, the Parliament Building and the famous 19th century Chain Bridge. Alternatively, join a walking tour discovering the Hungarian Parliament Building and Market Hall.

Day 19 Mohacs (Pecs)
You will take a coach from Mohacs to Pecs, a European Capital of culture. This small city holds many surprises and has a blend of architectural styles and heritage sites.

Day 20 Vukovar (Osijek)
Our day in Croatia takes us to Vukovar. From here we travel to the university town of Osijek. Visit Tvrda, the oldest part of the town, combining Turkish defence structures and Habsburg’s baroque churches. After your tour, you enjoy a lunch in a home of local Croatians.

Day 21 Belgrade
We guide you through the remarkable city of Belgrade – home to dozens of cultures throughout its 2500-year history, viewing Republic Square and the eclectic architecture of the National Museum. You will also travel through Belgrade’s Upscale Living Quarters, where high-ranking communist leaders once lived. Your tour finishes with a visit to St. Sava Cathedral, the largest active Orthodox church in the world.

Day 22 Cruising the scenic Iron Gates
Relax onboard as you cruise the spectacular Iron Gates, an 80-mile-long stretch of scenic gorges.
Day 23 Svistov (Veliko, Tarnovo and Arbanassi) – Rousse
Arrive in Veliko Tarnovo, where you will see the majestic ruins of Tzarevetz Castle. You will then ride to the picturesque village of Arbanassi. While here, savour an authentic lunch along with live folk music. Or opt for a tour of the countryside including the rock-town cave Churches of Ivanovo and Bassarbovo.

Day 24 Giurgiu (disembark) Transfer to Bucharest – fly to Istanbul
This morning we disembark our ship in Giurgiu and transfer to Bucharest where you will be taken on a tour of this eclectic city. Afterwards, enjoy lunch before your flight to Istanbul where you will spend the next three nights.
Day 25 Istanbul
Today’s panoramic tour takes you to the Hippodrome, the Blue Mosque with its distinctive minarets and blue Iznik tile walls; the spectacular Hagia Sophia, the ‘Church of Holy Wisdom’, which was built in 535 AD and the Topkapi Palace – a magnificent Ottoman residence. You will then have time to peruse the Grand Bazaar.

Day 26 Istanbul
Spend the day in Istanbul enjoying the sights at your own leisure.
Day 27 Istanbul – London
Transfer to Istanbul Airport for your British Airways or another leading airline flight home. Arrive at London Heathrow or Gatwick where our staff will meet you and our transport will transfer you to your own front door.
