Day 1 : Fly to Saigon
Fly overnight to Saigon.
Day 2 : Arrive & Explore
On arrival you will be met by your expert tour guide and transferred to your hotel. Get out and explore this fascinating metropolis.
Day 3 : Discover Saigon
Sightseeing includes a visit to Notre Dame Cathedral, the colonial Central Post Office, Reunification Palace and the War Remnants Museum. In the afternoon drive to Cholon, Saigon’s Chinatown. Here, visit beautiful Thien Hau Pagoda and Ben Thanh Market and enjoy some bargain hunting. (B)
Day 4 : Cu Chi Tunnels & Tay Ninh
Explore the amazing network of Cu Chi Tunnels before travelling to Tay Ninh to attend the noon service at the Cao Dai Temple, one of the most striking structures in Asia. Return to Saigon. (B)
Day 5 : Journey to Hanoi
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Hanoi. The rest of the day is free. Why not head out to discover Hanoi’s vibrant culinary scene with some Café Sua Da (iced coffee with milk) or Tra Da (iced tea) in one of Hanoi’s relaxed cafes, or your guide can recommend one of many local eateries. (B)
Day 6 : Explore Hanoi
Sightseeing includes a visit to the Ho Chi Minh Quarter where you will see Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum (closed Sep-Dec), the Presidential Palace, Stilt House and One Pillar Pagoda. Continue to the Ethnology Museum, the Temple of Literature and Tran Quoc Pagoda. Pay a visit to Sword Lake & Ngoc Son Temple before exploring Hanoi’s lively Old Quarter. (B)
Day 7 : Hanoi at Leisure
Today is free to further explore Hanoi. You may wish to take an early morning wander down to the shores of Hoan Kiem Lake to witness tai chi lessons at dawn, or further explore the colourful streets of the Old Quarter. (B)
Day 8 : Fly Hanoi to UK
Fly to the UK, arriving home the same or following day. (B)
