Day 1 : Fly to Colombo
Fly overnight to Colombo.
Day 2 : Arrive & Explore
On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.
Day 3 : Discover Colombo
Take a tour of Sri Lanka’s capital, and discover a city which is quickly becoming a modern metropolis. However, you’ll also explore historic and colonial gems such as bustling Pettah Bazaar and religious temples. (B)
Day 4 : Sigiriya Lion Rock Fortress
Journey to Sigiriya and explore the magnificent Lion Rock Fortress, built by King Kasyapa. Also see the Heavenly Maidens Frescoes. That evening, visit Dambulla Rock Temple; a UNESCO Site dating back to the 1st Century. (B)
Day 5 : Polonnaruwa & Minneriya Safari
Spend the day exploring the UNESCO Site of Polonnaruwa. Visit the Royal Palace, the Gal Vihara, the Audience Hall and Lotus Bath. Later, take a jeep safari around Minneriya National Park where elephants may be spotted at close range. (B)
Day 6 : Anuradhapura Ancient City
Travel to Anuradhapura and visit the Brazen Palace, Ruwanweliseya Stupa, the Samadhi Buddha, the Isurumuniya Rock Temple and the sacred Bo Tree, planted over 2250 years ago. (B)
Day 7 : Bentota
Drive to the coastal town of Bentota where the day is at leisure to relax on the beaches or explore the surrounding area. (B)
Day 8 : Explore Bentota
Take some time to discover Bentota. As the driver will be at your disposal you can explore the local area. You may wish to see the Brief Garden, visit a Tea Centre seek out bargains at Aluthgama Market or relax on the beach. (B)
Day 9 : Colombo
Drive back to Colombo. (B)
Day 10 : Fly Colombo to UK
Fly to the UK. (B)
