The Mara Intrepids enjoys one of the most spectacular locations in the Mara and also has an Adventurers’ Club for children.
DAY 1 DAILY HEATHROW-NAIROBI
Fly from Heathrow overnight to Nairobi.
DAY 2 NAIROBI
Transfer to your hotel for a day at leisure or choose from a selection of optional excursions. Overnight: Nairobi Serena Hotel.
DAY 3 SAMBURU
After an early breakfast fly to the Samburu National Reserve (approximately 1 hour) and enjoy lunch at your lodge before a late afternoon game drive. Samburu Intrepids looks out over riverbanks where herds of elephants, buffaloes and zebras come daily to drink, together with the rarer species of reticulated giraffe, beisa oryx and long-necked gerenuk antelope. DAY 4 SAMBURU
Early morning and late afternoon game drives. Overnight: Samburu Intrepids. (b,l,d)
DAY 5 LAKE NAIVASHA
After breakfast fly to Wilson airport (approximately 1 hour 10 minutes). Snack lunch at Airwings Café. Fly to Naivasha Loldia airstrip, Lake Naivasha (approximately 20 minutes) and transfer to your lodge. Overnight: Great Rift Valley Lodge and Golf Resort. (b,l,d)
DAY 6 LAKE NAIVASHA
Following breakfast, enjoy a half-day trip to Lake Nakuru National Park. The afternoon is spent at leisure to enjoy the optional activities at the lodge, including boating and fishing on Lake Naivasha, tennis, a driving range and an 18-hole golf course (book and pay locally). DAY 7 MASAI MARA
This morning enjoy a boat trip on Lake Naivasha. After lunch transfer to the airstrip for a light aircraft flight to the Masai Mara (approximately 40 minutes). On arrival enjoy an afternoon game drive. Overnight: Mara Intrepids. (b,l,d)
DAY 8 MASAI MARA
Enjoy an early morning game drive followed by breakfast, or an early morning balloon flight over the Mara followed by a ‘bubbly’ bush breakfast (optional extra). Late afternoon game drive. Overnight: Mara Intrepids. (b,l,d)
DAY 9 EXTENSION OR NAIROBI
Fly by light aircraft in the morning to Nairobi (approximately 1 hour) or on the afternoon flight, including lunch in the Mara £110. Proceed with your chosen extension or return to Heathrow. (b)
Alternatively, fly directly from the Mara to Mombasa, including lunch in the Mara £140.
