Highlands and Islands
Day 1 Southampton
Titan’s VIP Home Departure Service® transports you from your front door to Southampton, where our staff will greet you and assist with embarking Balmoral in readiness for a late afternoon sailing.
Day 2 St. Peter Port†, Guernsey
We begin our cruise with a day in the glorious Channel Island of Guernsey. From its capital, St Peter Port, you may like to take a stroll through this attractive harbour town, where French street names sit comfortably with very British post boxes, and a number of notable historic buildings can be found, including the Royal Court and Notre Dame du Rosaire. We sail early afternoon.
Day 3 – 4 Dublin
Late afternoon arrival in Dublin, a city steeped in history and youthful energy. Cosmopolitan and charming, its blend of medieval, Georgian and modern architecture make this an incredibly appealing city to explore. Here you will fi nd the Customs House, The Old Parliament House, Trinity College, the renowned Guinness Brewery and Phoenix Park, Europe’s largest enclosed public park, where you can see the homes of Ireland’s President and the American Ambassador. An overnight stop in Dublin allows you plenty of time to discover all that this city has to offer before we sail in the late afternoon on Day 4.
Day 5 Tobermory, Isle of Mull
Tobermory, originally built as a fishing port in the late 18th century, is now the main village on Mull. The brightly painted buildings and the high woodland-fringed hills surrounding the bay give this village a picture postcard look. You may be able to catch a glimpse of the rare and unusual Golden and White-tailed Eagles along with an abundance of other birds and mammals including Corncrakes and Otters.
Day 6 Ullapool, Scotland
Ullapool is nestled on the shores of Lochbroom. It is a picturesque fishing village blessed with majestic mountains surrounding it on all four sides. It has some of the most beautiful unspoiled scenery in the world; beaches, forests, hidden glens with stags grazing, waterfalls, bird sanctuaries to explore, breathtaking twisty single track roads, all this caressed by the gulf stream which gives it tropical gardens and comparably mild weather.
Day 7 Kirkwall, Orkneys
Early morning we arrive in the capital of the Orkneys, whose 70 islands spread out from the Scottish north coast. Ancient echoes of Christian, Nordic and Celtic history resonate here amongst the historical sites, traditions and legends. Whilst here, why not take an optional excursion to Skara Brae, probably the Orkneys most impressive site. This 5,000- year old Neolithic village lay buried and preserved beneath the sand of the Bay of Skaill until it was exposed in the 19th Century after a fierce storm. We sail late afternoon.
Day 8 Stornoway
Stornoway is the main town on the Isle of Lewis. It is an attractive town with a busy harbour, home to a significant fishing fleet. There is an interesting range of shops, pleasantly different to the usual outlets colonising most UK high Streets. In the grounds of Lews Castle, which overlooks the harbour, there are a series of well maintained woodland walks and there are some wonderful historical structures to be seen including the Standing Stones of Callanish, similar to Stonehenge.
Day 9 Belfast, Northern Ireland
Belfast has had a long and often turbulent history. It is now a modern vibrant and stylish city where there is the opportunity to visit the landmarks that have played their part in the city’s colourful development, such as Albert Clock, Cave Hill, Stormont Castle, and St George’s Market which was built in 1896 and is one of Belfast’s oldest attractions.
Day 10 At Sea
A full day at sea to do as you please, why not indulge in the fine cuisine and take in a show.
Day 11 Southampton
