Day 1 : Fly to Delhi
Fly overnight to Delhi, India’s rambunctious capital city
Day 2 : Arrive & Explore
On arrival you will be transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is all yours.
Day 3 : Discover Delhi
Explore Old Delhi; drive past the Red Fort, walk through Chandni Chowk Bazaar to Jama Masjid and visit Lakshmi Narayan Hindu Temple. After lunch, view India Gate before visiting Gandhi Smriti and Qatab Minar. That evening, dine at the Olive Bar & Kitchen, situated in an ancient Mughal mansion. (B,L,D)
Day 4 : Fly to Udaipur
Fly to Udaipur. (B,L)
Day 5 : Explore Udaipur
In the morning, visit Sahelion Ki Bari, the Folk Museum and Mewar Art Gallery. You will also tour the City Palace. Spend the afternoon relaxing on a cruise on Lake Pichola. In the evening, dinner will be on the Sunset Terrace, at the Fateh Prakesh Palace- with perfect views across Lake Pichola. (B,L,D)
Day 6 : Jodhpur
Drive to Ranakpur, the largest Jain temple complex in India. Continue to Jodhpur, the Blue City. (B,L)
Day 7 : Mehrangarh Fort
This morning visit Mehrangarh Fort and the museum located in Umaid Bhawan palace. Take a rickshaw to a local restaurant for lunch followed by a walking tour through Subzi Mandi market. Later, travel out to the former royal residence of Hanwant Mahal for an unforgettable dining experience. (B,L,D)
Day 8 : Jodhpur to Jaipur
Drive to Jaipur and shop at a local bazaar located inside the walled city. (B,L)
Day 9 : Hawa Mahal & Amer Fort
Start with a photo stop at Hawa Mahal (Palace of the Winds) before visiting Amer Fort. Later that afternoon visit the City Palace and Jantar Mantar. In the evening, return to Amer Fort and dine at the 1135AD restaurant, located inside the highest ramparts. (B,L,D)
Day 10-11 : Rathambore or Bharatpur
Depending on the season, the next three days operate different itineraries: Jan to May: Travel by train to Ranthambore National Park and enjoy a canter safari in the park. The next day, take morning and afternoon canter safaris. (B,L,D) Sep-Dec: Drive to Bharatpur. The next day, visit the host city of Fateh Sikri and Keoladeo National Park, famous for fantastic bird watching. Later, return to Bharatpur. (B,L,D)
Day 12 : Agra
Jan-May: Travel by train to Bharatpur and then continue by road to Agra, stopping at Fatehpur Sikri ghost city, built in 1569 by Emperor Akbar Sep-Dec: A day at leisure with a short drive to Agra and time to explore the historic city. (B,L)
Day 13 : Taj Mahal
Stand in awe as the sun rises over the Taj Mahal. Later, visit Agra Fort. (B,L)
Day 14 : Train to Khajuraho
Board the Shatabdi Express train to Jhansi. Continue by road to Khajuraho stopping in Orchha en route. Enjoy an evening dance performance. (B,L)
Day 15 : Ghats of Varanasi
Tour the Western and Eastern groups of temples. Fly to Varanasi and later take a rickshaw to the Ghats of the River Ganges to witness the Puja ceremony. (B,L)
Day 16 : Boat Ride on the Ganges
Take a morning boat ride on the River Ganges and a city tour of Varanasi. Later, visit the Buddhist sites at Sarnath. (B,L)
Day 17 : Fly to Kathmandu
Fly to Kathmandu. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. (B)
Day 18 : Discover Patan
Visit Dakshinkali Temple before continuing to Patan, the second largest city in Nepal. Explore the 14th Century UNESCO World Heritage Royal Palace and Patan’s Durbar Square. (B,L,D)
Day 19 : Explore Kathmandu
Sightseeing includes a visit to Kathmandu’s Durbar Square and Kumari Temple. You’ll also visit the Monkey Temple of Swayambhunath and Bodnath Stupa, which is the largest in Nepal. Enjoy a stroll through Thamel Market in the evening. (B,L,D)
Day 20 : Journey to Dhulikhel
Travel to Dhulikhel, stopping at Changu Narayan Temple en route. In Dhulikhel, explore the Newari Houses and visit the local market. (B,L,D)
Day 21 : Visit Bhaktapur
Travel to the 9th Century town of Bhaktapur to visit the Golden Gate at the Palace of 55 Windows before returning to Kathmandu. This evening dinner will be at Krishna Arpan. (B,L,D)
Day 22 : Fly Kathmandu to UK
Fly to the UK, arriving home later the same or following day. (B)
