Day 1 : Fly to Saigon
Fly overnight to Saigon.
Day 2 : Arrive and Explore
On arrival you will be met by your expert tour guide and transferred to your hotel. You have the rest of the day to explore this fascinating city.
Day 3 : Discover Saigon
Tour the city of Saigon, starting with the Notre Dame Cathedral before continuing to the French-style Central Post Office, the Reunification Palace and the War Remnants Museum. Travel to Cholon to view the beautiful Thien Hau Pagoda before visiting Ben Thanh Markets. That evening enjoy a Luke Nguyen-inspired three course dinner at Xu Restaurant. (B,L,D)
Day 4 : Cu Chi Tunnels
Travel to the colourful Cao Dai Temple at Tay Ninh and later visit the astonishing tunnel system at Cu Chi. The remainder of the day is free at your leisure. (B,L)
Day 5 : Marble Mountains & Hoi An
Fly to Danang. Upon arrival transfer to Hoi An, stopping en route to visit the Marble Mountains. That evening enjoy dinner at the historic and luxurious Ancient Faifo Restaurant (B,L,D)
Day 6 : Discover Hoi An
Travel by boat along the Thu Bon River to the Red Bridge Restaurant, where you will learn about Vietnamese cuisine and the Hoi An way of life. Return to Hoi An and enjoy a walking tour of the narrow and ancient streets, visiting an old merchant’s home, traditional Hoi An market, a Chinese temple, and the Japanese Covered Bridge. (B,L)
Day 7 : Discover Hanoi
Fly to Hanoi. After lunch at KOTO restaurant visit the serene Temple of Literature, Ngoc Son Temple and enjoy a cyclo ride through Hanoi’s historical Old Quarter. (B,L)
Day 8 : Cruise Halong Bay
Travel to Halong Bay, regarded as the Jewel in the Crown of Vietnam. Spend the night on board your traditionally designed Junk Boat, relaxing and watching the sun set over the bay. (B,L,D)
Day 9 : Hanoi’s Water Puppets
Watch the sun rise this morning before disembarking your junk boat and returning to Hanoi. This evening enjoy a performance of the famous Water Puppets and later dine at the iconic Press Club Hanoi. (B,L,D)
Day 10 : Discover Luang Prabang
Fly to the UNESCO World Heritage listed town of Luang Prabang, Laos. Visit Wat Visoun and the most beautiful temple in Luang Prabang, Wat Xieng Thong. Later, climb Phousi Hill to watch the sun set over the town. (B,L)
Day 11 : Cruise the Mekong
Rise early to join Takbat, a Buddhist ceremony where locals give food offerings to the monks. Afterwards, cruise along the Mekong River to the sacred Buddha caves of Pak Ou. Return to Luang Prabang, visiting the villages of Thin Hong and Ban Xang Khong en route. (B,L)
Day 12 : Kuang Si Waterfalls
Tour the National Museum, formally the Royal Palace before driving to the beautiful Kuang Si Waterfalls stopping at the Ban Na Ouane Village. Join a Baci Ceremony, and enjoy a traditional Lao meal at the L’Elephant Restaurant in the evening. (B,L,D)
Day 13 : Fly to Cambodia
Fly to Siem Reap, Cambodia. Explore the Hindu temple of Banteay Srei. Later, climb to the summit of Pre Rup to view the sunset over the rice fields. (B,L)
Day 14 : Temples of Angkor
Rise early to begin exploring the incredible Ta Prohm Temple before visiting the impressive fortified city of Angkor Thom. Continue on to Elephant Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King. Later visit the glorious Angkor Wat, the best preserved temple in Angkor. (B,L)
Day 15 : The Floating Villages
Travel to Tonle Sap where you will board your boat to view the floating villages of Siem Reap. After a picnic lunch, continue to the less visited temple of Beng Mealea. Return to Siem Reap and later, dine at the stylish Nest Angkor Restaurant. (B,L,D)
Days 16-17 : Fly Siem Reap to UK
Fly to the UK, arriving home the following day. (B)
