Llandrindod Wells Short Break

Day 1 Llandrindod Wells
We begin with Titan’s VIP Home Departure Service® to Llandrindod Wells, Wales. There is time to settle in at the Metropole Hotel following tea/coffee on your arrival.

Day 2 Abbey-Cwm-Hir-Hall – Brecon
We depart for Abbey-Cwm-Hir Hall, a picturesque stately home, defined by its Gothic Victorian décor. This 52-roomed mansion overlooks its 12-acre garden, which is home to the ruins of the 12th century Cistercian abbey. Each room is decorated in a different theme and is home to many fascinating collections. The gardens have also been developed to create a stunning setting, which includes four courtyards, a lake and waterfall, 1.5 acre walled garden and a splendid variety of mixed woodland.
Following our visit, we head to Brecon, a historical market town set in the Brecon Beacons. There will be time to admire the Georgian and Jacobean shop fronts, showing its architecture to the full potential, before we return to our hotel.
Please note clients will have to take off their shoes when entering Abbey-Cwm-Hir Hall. Slippers will be supplied by the Abbey.

Day 3 Elan Valley Dams
We depart for the Elan Valley, where we make a stop at the visitor centre before driving through the Elan Estate to view the spectacular dams, with the chance to stop for photos along the way. The dams blend seamlessly in with the natural beauty that surrounds them, and are a feat of engineering. King Edward VII opened the dams in 1904. Following this, we will take the scenic mountain road to Abersywth, where we will have some time to explore. This afternoon we will either return to our hotel by coach or take the Vale of Rheidol Railway from Abersywth to Devil’s Bridge (depending on the train operating schedule) and continue to our hotel by coach.

Day 4 Llandrindod Wells
Today you are free to make your own explorations of Llandrindod Wells, a small spa town set within Mid-Wales. The town is full of natural beauty, in the form of water, gardens and parks. Whilst exploring, why not visit the Temple Gardens, which are colourful year round, or the Rock Park, which is famous for its salt and iron rich springs. Alternatively, you may choose to relax and use the facilities of our hotel.
Please note: If travelling on our 10 October departure days 3 and 4 will be reversed with your free day on day 3 and excursion to the Elan Valley Dams on day 4.

Day 5 Llandrindod Wells
Today we bid farewell to Llandrindod Wells. Titan transport will collect you at 10.00am for your return journey home to your own front door.
