Day 1 London to Luxor
On arrival into Luxor you’ll transfer to the SS Misr, for the start of your 7 night Nile cruise. Sail later to Esna for overnight.

Day 2 Esna
You’ll visit the temple of Esna, passing through the lock, before sailing on to Kom Ombo.

Day 3 Kom Ombo
Today you’ll disembark in Kom Ombo to visit the temple shared by twin gods, Sobek & Haroeris, and which stands on a bend in the river before continuing to Aswan. This afternoon you’ll cruise aboard a traditional Nile felucca to Lord Kitchener’s Botanical Garden and Elephantine Island, and in Aswan visit the Nubian Museum and enjoy afternoon tea at the newly restored historic Old Cataract Hotel.

Day 4 Aswan High Dam
Your morning tour takes in Aswan’s High Dam, which took 11 years to build, and then travel by motorboat to the romantic island temple of Philae, dedicated to the Goddess Isis, on the island of Agilka.

Day 5 Abu Simbel (Optional)
You’re at leisure today. There is an exciting opportunity for an optional tour (extra cost) of Abu Simbel. Built by Ramses II in 1257 BC, the temples would be lost forever under the waters of Lake Nasser but for UNESCO’s timely rescue operation.

Day 6 Luxor
You’ll return to Luxor today, visiting the beautiful Temples of Karnak and the Luxor Museum.

Day 7 Valley of the Kings
This morning you’ll visit the Valley of the Kings where magnificent tombs are carved into desert rocks. You’ll also the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, Egypt’s only female Pharaoh.

Day 8 Luxor to London
Return home, or extend with extra nights at Luxor, on the beach at the Hurghada or amongst the pyramids of Cairo.
