Porini Camps Safari

This safari provides a wonderful opportunity to stay in Porini Camps’ exclusive accommodation. Combine unforgettable experiences, where you can walk with Masai warriors and guides, whilst you explore the wilderness areas. The itinerary is fully flexible and the number of days at each location can be increased or decreased.

Porini Amboseli Camp is set in the Selenkay Conservancy, and is owned and run by the Masai community, which is dedicated to the conservation of wildlife.

Porini Mara Camp has recently been set in the exclusive wildlife conservancy of Ol Kinyei, one of the most beautiful areas in the region. The conservancy holds a variety of animal species including a pride of lions.

Onto Porini Lion Camp, which is located in the Olare Olok Conservancy, which borders the Masai Mara Game Reserve and is home to an abundance of animals, including big cats.

DAY 1 DAILY HEATHROW-NAIROBI
Fly from Heathrow overnight to Nairobi.

DAY 2 AMBOSELI
Drive to your camp in the Selenkay Conservancy (160 km – approximately 3 hours 30 minutes), arriving before lunch. Following afternoon tea, Masai warriors will escort you on a walk to a village to get an insight into their fascinating culture and way of life. Enjoy a game drive in the conservancy followed by a sundowner at a scenic spot overlooking Mount Kilimanjaro. Night game drive and return to camp. Overnight: Porini Amboseli Camp. (l,d)

DAY 3 AMBOSELI
After an early breakfast, drive through the bush into Amboseli National Park for a full morning of game viewing. After a picnic lunch return to your camp to relax. In the evening enjoy a game drive in Selenkay Conservancy, stopping for a sundowner at a scenic viewpoint, followed by a night game drive to look for nocturnal animals. DAY 4 MASAI MARA PRIVATE CONSERVANCY
After an early breakfast, drive through Amboseli Park to the airstrip for your light aircraft flight to the Masai Mara via Nairobi Wilson airport, with a plane change (approximately 2 hours 30 minutes). Met on arrival and transferred to the camp for lunch. Afternoon game drive, followed by a sundowner and night game drive. Overnight: Porini Mara Camp. (b,l,d)

DAY 5 MASAI MARA PRIVATE CONSERVANCY
A full day game viewing in Ol Kinyei and Naboisho Conservancies, home to over sixty lions and many other big cats and big game. A sundowner and night game drive. Overnight: Porini Mara Camp. (b,l,d)

DAY 6 MASAI MARA PRIVATE CONSERVANCY
Morning walk with Masai warrior and guide in the conservancy. After breakfast drive across the Mara to the Olare Orok Conservancy (approximately 2 hours), adjacent to the Mara Reserve, arriving at your camp before lunch. Afternoon game drive followed by a sundowner. Overnight: Porini Lion Camp. (b,l,d)

DAY 7 MASAI MARA PRIVATE CONSERVANCY
Optional early morning balloon flight over the Mara. (transfer time to balloon launch site is approximately 2 hours.) Full day in the Masai Mara Reserve with picnic lunch. Followed by a sundowner and night game drive in the Olare Orok Conservancy. Overnight: Porini Lion Camp. (b,l,d)

DAY 8 HEATHROW OR EXTENSION
In the morning fly by light aircraft to Nairobi (approximately 1 hour) or on the afternoon flight, including lunch in the Mara (from £110). Proceed with your chosen beach extension or return to Heathrow. (b).

Alternatively, fly directly from the Mara to Mombasa, including lunch in the Mara (from £140).

Alternative Day 2
You may wish to fly to Amboseli National Park, but would need to spend an additional night in Nairobi. Please call for more details.

Light aircraft baggage allowance – 15 kg.

Children under 9 years of age are not permitted on this safari.
