Queen Mary 2 with New York & Las Vegas
Days 1 – 3: UK/Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
Today you’ll fly to Las Vegas, Nevada, and check into your hotel for a three-night stay on a room-only basis.
The whole of Las Vegas is an attraction – just wandering up and down its famous Strip and dipping into the hotels and casinos that line it could keep you occupied for days. You can watch the dancing fountains outside the Bellagio, take a gondola ride around the Venetian or travel to the top of the Stratosphere, where you can take a dip in its pool or experience a stomach-churning rollercoaster ride.
There are restaurants serving every kind of food imaginable, and an amazing choice of top-class shows; whether you want to catch a musical, a comedy, a dance spectacular, astounding circus acts or a big-name star performer. You can even take to the skies for breathtaking journeys over the Hoover Dam or the Western rim of the Grand Canyon (bookable in resort).
Days 4 – 5: Las Vegas/New York
From Vegas, you’ll fly to New York, where you’ll stay for two nights on a room-only basis, and have the chance to see some of the most famous landmarks in the world. You can climb the Empire State Building or the Rockefeller Centre for a bird’s-eye view of the mesmerising Manhattan skyline, take to the water to see the Statue of Liberty close up, explore Ellis Island, now a museum telling the stories of the millions of immigrants who made their way to New York seeking freedom and opportunity.
If culture is your thing, you can discover the treasures of the Museum of Natural History or the Museum of Modern Art, which houses works by Monet, Picasso, Dali and Matisse, to name but a few. A horse and carriage ride is the best way to see Central Park, before you hit the designer shops on 5th Avenue – there are no luggage restrictions on your return cruise so you can buy as much as you like! If you want to cap all that with a night on the town, you can head to the bright lights of Times Square and be dazzled by a Broadway show, or catch some music on the city’s vibrant live jazz, blues and rock scene, while fine dining is available round the clock.
Day 6: New York/Queen Mary 2
You’ll embark on the Queen Mary 2 today, ready to cruise back to the UK aboard this grand ship.
Days 7 – 12: Queen Mary 2
Spend the next six days in comfort and elegance as the Queen Mary 2 cruises homeward. You’re sure to be impressed by your surroundings, including a breathtaking Grand Lobby, the largest ballroom at sea and an array of amenities offered on board. You will wine and dine in style too – the ship’s renowned restaurants serve mouth-watering international dishes in lavish surroundings, and drinks may be taken in a selection of bars. Head to the Chart Room for pre-dinner cocktails while classical music plays gently in the background, or choose from an extensive selection of rare Cognacs and single malts as you revel in the sophisticated atmosphere of Churchills.
Spend quality time during the day lounging around one of the five swimming pools on board or treat yourself to a massage or beauty treatment in the spa. There’s also a wonderful programme of classes and workshops on offer, so why not learn a new skill or brush up on an old one. Whatever you choose to do, you’ll be able to enjoy it all in the lap of luxury on this cruise of a lifetime.
