Day 1 : Fly to Delhi
Fly overnight to Delhi, India’s wonderfully chaotic capital city.
Day 2 : Arrive & Explore
On arrival you will be met by your expert tour guide and transferred to your hotel. Spend the remainder of the day exploring.
Day 3 : Alsisar Heritage Town
Drive to the small desert town of Alsisar. (B,L)
Day 4 : Explore Bikaner
Drive to Bikaner and visit Junagarh Fort. Take a rickshaw ride to the Old City bazaar before continuing to Gajner. (B,L)
Day 5 : Jaisalmer
Drive to Jaisalmer and in the evening enjoy a visit to Sunset Point. (B)
Day 6 : Jaisalmar Fort
Visit Jaisalmer Fort and later, head to the Sam Sand Dunes to take a camel ride. (B,L)
Day 7 : The Desert Safari
Drive into the Thar Desert to Manvar. Experience a camel and jeep safari to Bishnoi villages and meet the locals. You will have a memorable overnight stay in a tented camp in the desert. (B,L)
Day 8 : Jodhpur
Leave the camp and drive to Jodhpur, known as the Blue City because of the blue painted houses surrounding the imposing Mehrangarh Fort. (B,L)
Day 9 : Mehrangarh Fort
Visit Mehrangarh Fort and Umaid Bhawan Palace. Afterwards, enjoy a walking tour through Subzi Mandi, the local vegetable and spice market. Later that day, travel out to the former royal residence of Hanwant Mahal for an unforgettable dining experience. (B,L,D)
Day 10 : Udaipur & Lake Pichola
Travel to Udaipur visiting Ranakpur en route. Enjoy a cruise on Lake Pichola. (B,L)
Day 11 : Discover Udaipur
Visit Sahelion Ki Bari, the Folk Museum, Mewar Art Gallery and the City Palace. In the evening, dinner will be at the Sunset Terrace at the Fateh Prakash Palace – with perfect views across Lake Pichola. (B,L,D)
Day 12 : Rajasthan Countryside
Drive to Deogarh and enjoy an evening walk through the local village. (B,L)
Day 13 : Pushkar
Take a short train ride on a rural 1930s train to Phulad and continue by road to Pushkar. In the afternoon visit a local temple. (B,L)
Day 14 : Drive to Jaipur
Travel to Jaipur where you will visit the City Palace and the UNESCO World Heritage listed ancient observatory, Jantar Mantar. (B,L)
Day 15 : Hawa Mahal & Amber Fort
Enjoy a photo stop at Hawa Mahal (Palace of the Winds), tour Amber Fort and explore the lively bazaar in Choti Choper. In the evening, return to Amber Fort and dine at the 1135 AD restaurant, located inside the highest ramparts of the fort. (B,L,D)
Day 16-17 : Ranthambore or Bharatpur
Depending on the season, the next three days operate different itineraries as follows: Jan to May: Travel by train to Ranthambore National Park and enjoy a canter safari in the park this afternoon. The next day, take morning and afternoon canter safaris. (B,L,D) Sep to Dec: Drive to Bharatpur. The next day, visit the ghost city of Fatehpur Sikri and Keoladeo National Park, famous for fantastic bird watching. Return to Bharatpur. (B,L,D)
Day 18 : Agra
Jan to May: Travel by train to Bharatpur and then continue by road to Agra, stopping en route at Fatehpur Sikri ghost city, built in 1569 by Emperor Akbar. (B,L) Sep to Dec: A day at leisure including a short drive to Agra and time to explore the city. (B,L)
Day 19 : Taj Mahal
View the Taj Mahal at sunrise. Later on, visit a marble inlay workshop and Agra Fort. (B,L)
Day 20 : Delhi
Drive to Delhi. Visit Qutub Minar, the Lotus Temple, Connaught Place Markets and in the evening, dine at the Olive Bar & Kitchen. (B,L,D)
Day 21 : Red Fort & India Gate
Visit Old Delhi, drive past the Red Fort, walk through the busy Chandni Chowk Bazaar to Jama Masjid Mosque and have a photo stop at India Gate. (B,L)
Day 22 : Fly Delhi to UK
Fly to the UK, arriving home the same or following day. (B)
