Day 1 Depart London
You’ll fly overnight to Cambodia, via Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 2 Siem Reap
On arrival in Siem Reap, you’ll reach the Somadevi Hotel where you’ll stay for 3 nights. After check-in you’ll take a step back in time with a visit to Angkor Wat, dating from the 12th century it’s the most famous of the Temples of Angkor. The stunning structure combines Hindu and Buddhist iconography, and late afternoon is an ideal time to reflect on its immense size and startling symmetry.

Day 3 Siem Reap
Early this morning your first stop will be the Angkor National Museum, before returning to the ancient Khmer complex to continue your exploration of the most significant sites – Angkor Thom, the Bayon, Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephant Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King. You’ll return to the hotel for lunch and in the afternoon you’re free to continue at your own pace. You can return to the temples, explore the markets of Siem Reap or take an extra optional excursion to a Buddhist pagoda to take part in a spiritual cleansing ceremony.

Day 4 Siem Reap
On this morning’s tour, you’ll visit Banteay Srei, known as the Women’s Temple, famed for the intricacy of its carvings, and Banteay Samré off the beaten track and away from the crowds. You can spend this afternoon at leisure where you might like to visit Les Artisans d’Angkor; a training school for young locals to learn traditional craftwork.

Day 5 Siem Reap to Phnom Penh
On a full day drive you’ll stop en route to visit Santuk Silk Farm, a responsible tourism initiative for Cambodian Village development. You’ll also stop at Skuon where the local delicacy is deep fried spider before checking in for 2 nights.

Day 6 Phnom Penh
You’ll tour Cambodia’s capital by traditional cyclo, including visits to the stunning riverside Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda and National Museum. Later you’ll visit Tuol Sleng, the former school and site of Khmer Rouge atrocities in the 1970s, and the Russian Market.

Day 7 Phnom Penh to Sihanoukville (or depart Phnom Penh)
You can choose to leave the tour today, transferring to the airport this afternoon for your indirect flight which arrives the following day. Alternatively, this morning you’ll continue south by road to Cambodia’s premier coastal resort, named after the former King Sihanouk. Stay 3 nights at Sokha Beach Resort set in landscaped gardens and with its own 1.5 kilometre white sandy beach.

Day 8 & 9 Sihanoukville
You’ll have 2 full days’ rest and relaxation to enjoy the pool and spa facilities of your resort and its private beach. If you want to venture further afield it is possible to visit Ream National Park with its terrestrial and marine habitats or the islands of Kompong Som Bay.

Day 10 Depart Sihanoukville
This afternoon you’ll transfer back to Phnom Penh for your return flight to the UK. Alternatively you may choose to extend your stay at the beach or in neighbouring Vietnam.

Your flight lands in London early this morning.
