DAY 1 HEATHROW-CAPE TOWN
Overnight flight from Heathrow to Cape Town.
DAY 2 CAPE TOWN
On arrival, transfer to your hotel (30 km – approximately 30 minutes) and spend the rest of the day at leisure exploring the joys of the ‘Mother City’. A perfect opportunity to visit the V&A Waterfront. Overnight: Protea Hotel President.
DAY 3 CAPE OF GOOD HOPE
Enjoy a full day sightseeing in South Africa’s most popular tourist destination. Much of your journey is along the beautiful coastline, with majestic views of mountain and ocean. Visit Cape Point, one of the best spots in Cape Town for spotting whales and dolphins. On your return to the city, drive through the quaint naval village of Simon’s Town. DAY 4 CAPE WINELANDS
Tour the Cape’s famous wine making country, visiting two well known estates for wine tastings. Overnight: Protea Hotel President. (b)
DAY 5 CAPE TOWN
A full day at leisure to explore this incredible city which is Cape Town. Overnight: Protea Hotel President. (b)
DAY 6 KRUGER NATIONAL PARK
Transfer to the airport (30 km – approximately 30 minutes) for your flight to Kruger. On arrival, transfer to the world-famous Kruger National Park via Hazyview, where your safari begins (40 km – approximately 45 minutes). This afternoon board an open safari vehicle for your game drive. Enjoy your first night in this unique patch of African wilderness. Overnight: Nkambeni Private Camp. (b,d)
DAY 7 KRUGER NATIONAL PARK
Enjoy a morning game drive in the Kruger, return to the camp for an afternoon of relaxation. Overnight: Nkambeni Private Camp. (b,d)
DAY 8 KRUGER NATIONAL PARK-LIVINGSTONE
Tuck into a hearty breakfast before transferring to Kruger Mpumalanga International airport (40 km – approximately 45 minutes) for your flight to Livingstone in Zambia, where, on arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel (15 km – approximately 20 minutes). Overnight: Zambezi Sun. (b)
DAY 9 LIVINGSTONE
Today is a leisurely day. Mid morning, meet your guide at the Day Activity Centre for a guided tour of the world-famous Victoria Falls. Note that viewing is on the Zambian side. Afternoon at leisure to choose from any one of a number of activities and excursions available (payable locally). Overnight: Zambezi Sun. (b)
DAY 10 CHOBE-LIVINGSTONE
Early this morning, you will be collected for a day of land- and water-based game viewing in neighbouring Botswana. Cruise down the mighty Chobe River which flows through the renowned Chobe National Park. Disembark and join an open safari vehicle for a drive through the Chobe Game Reserve with the chance of seeing more wildlife and birdlife. Lunch awaits you at a lodge overlooking the Chobe River. Return to Livingstone late afternoon. Overnight: Zambezi Sun. (b,l)
DAY 11 LIVINGSTONE
Day at leisure. Enjoy the sunset and a sundowner on the Zambezi on board one of the finest boats on the river, the African Queen. Sip drinks whilst gazing at views of the wild African bush. Float past the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, and you’re very likely to spot crocodiles, hippos, astonishing birdlife, perhaps elephants and whatever else comes down to the riverbank to drink. DAY 12 LIVINGSTONE-HEATHROW
After breakfast, transfer to Livingstone airport (15 km – approximately 20 minutes) in time for your flight to Heathrow, via Johannesburg. (b)
Notes: A Multiple Entry Visa is required for Zambia. If you only have a single entry visa, you will be required to purchase another one upon re-entry on day 10.
