Day 1 London – Porto
Titan’s VIP Home Departure Service® transports you from your front door to London Heathrow Airport and your direct, scheduled TAP Air Portugal flight to Porto. On arrival, we transfer to the port to embark the Douro Princess for a welcome cocktail and overnight in Porto.

Day 2 Porto – Régua – Pinhão
This morning we set sail leaving Porto behind as we head towards Régua, the heart of the port wine district, and our included tour of one of the most attractive cities in Portugal, Lamego. Visit the Sanctuary of Nossa Senhora dos Remédios, where you can admire the views over the town. This afternoon we continue our journey upstream towards Pinhão, where the ship overnights, whilst we enjoy the Portuguese Folk Music show, on board.

Day 3 Pinhão – Barca d’Alva
The Douro Princess sets sail this morning. After lunch we join an included excursion of Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo, the small medieval town situated on top of a hill where we visit the fortress and church and home to the ruins of a mansion where Cristóvão de Moura lived in the 17th century. Considered a traitor as he was in favour of the union with Spain, by many Portuguese, his house was burnt down by a mob in 1640 when Portuguese independence was restored. This evening we enjoy the Captain’s Dinner.

Day 4 Barca d’Alva (Salamanca) – Vega de Terrón
Following breakfast, we cross the border into Spain on an included excursion to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Salamanca. On arrival, we take a guided walking tour. This decorated city of copper and golden stone architecture, narrow cobbled streets, with two universities, majestic cathedrals, palaces, churches and one of Spain’s most magnificent squares, the Plaza Mayor. Later, we enjoy an included lunch and a flamenco show before returning to our ship, in time for a Portuguese barbecue dinner. The ship moors in Vega de Terrón this evening.

Day 5 Vega de Terrón – Pinhão – Régua
We enjoy a leisurely cruise of the beautiful Douro valley this morning passing sleepy villages and tranquil countryside before arriving in Pinhão and our included lunch at Avessada winery. We continue to Régua where you will have the opportunity to take an optional excursion to the Douro Museum. The ship will moor here overnight.

Day 6 Régua – Entre-os-Rios
This morning we join an included excursion by coach to Vila Real and the 18th century Casa de Mateus Palace and its attractive gardens. We return to the Princess Douro for lunch. This evening we dine in the 14th century Alpendurada Monastery, now a hotel, though maintaining its original architecture before returning to the ship and overnight in Entre-os-Rios.

Day 7 Entre-os-Rios – Porto
This morning we enjoy a visit to the local Port wine cellars including wine tasting. After lunch on board, we disembark for a city sightseeing tour of Porto, which will showcase the city’s wealth of historic sights.

Day 8 Porto – London
After breakfast, we disembark and transfer to Porto Airport for our TAP Air Portugal flight to London Gatwick, where our staff will greet you and transfer you to Titan transport for your journey home to your own front door.
