Days 1-2 : Fly to Hanoi
Fly overnight to Hanoi.
Day 3 : Explore Hanoi
The Paris of the Orient, Hanoi is a charming and richly historic city with lakes, parks and shaded boulevards. Sightseeing today includes a visit to the Ho Chi Minh Quarter where you will see Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum (closed Sep-Dec), Stilt House, One Pillar Pagoda, Temple of Literature and enjoy a walking tour of the Old Quarter.
Day 4 : Halong Bay Junk Cruise
Travel to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Halong Bay, Vietnam’s most iconic attraction. Enjoy a seafood meal whilst cruising between the nearby islands onboard the traditionally designed Junk Boat. Return to Hanoi later in the day.
Day 5 : Cookery Class, Hoi An
Fly to Danang and transfer to the UNESCO town of Hoi An, stopping at Marble Mountains. In the evening, take part in a cookery class.
Day 6 : Hoi An Walking Tour
Enjoy a walking tour of Hoi An and visit one of the oldest homes, still occupied by descendants of merchants that built it over 200 years ago. Also visit the Japanese Bridge, Hoi An Market and a local Chinese Pagoda. The afternoon is at leisure to visit the local markets or relax in a riverside café.
Day 7 : Discover Saigon
Fly to bustling Saigon. Situated on the banks of the Saigon river and also known as Ho Chi Minh City, Saigon is Vietnam’s largest and busiest city. Sightseeing today includes a visit to notre Dame Cathedral, Central Post office, reunification Palace and the War remnants Museum. end your tour at lively Ben Thanh Market.
Day 8 : Cu Chi Tunnels & Tay Ninh
Explore the amazing network of Cu Chi Tunnels before travelling to Tay Ninh to attend the noon service at the Cao Dai Temple, one of the most striking structures in Asia. Return to Saigon.
Days 9-10 : Mekong Delta, fly to UK
Travel to Ben Tre and cruise on the Mekong River to explore the delta, the Rice Basket of Vietnam. The area’s rich and fertile lands are perfect for growing rice, coconuts, vegetables and tropical fruits. Enjoy the scenery as we travel through palm-lined canals on wooden sampans passing stilt houses and fish farms before returning to Saigon. Later fly overnight to the UK, arriving home the following day.
