Days 1-2 : Fly to Delhi
Fly overnight to Delhi, India’s capital city.
Day 3 : Kanha Tiger Reserve
Fly to Nagpur, and then transfer to the Kanha Tiger Reserve. Spread across 940 sq km, the reserve is dedicated to the protection of Bengal Tigers. (B,D)
Days 4-5 : Kanha Tiger Reserve
Over the next two days, travel by canter on morning and afternoon safaris through the reserve. Look out for tigers, other big cats and Kanha’s diverse population of birds. (B,L,D)
Days 6-7 : Bandhavgarh National Park
Drive to Bandhavgarh and enjoy a canter safari around the park in the afternoon (B,L,D). The next day take two further safaris in the park, driving through the undulating forest and meadows. (B,L,D)
Day 8 : Overnight Train to Agra
Take a morning safari through the park. The rest of the afternoon is at leisure before transferring to Katni and boarding the overnight train to Agra. (B,L,D)
Day 9 : Agra & Bharatpur
Arriving in Agra in the morning – there is time to take an optional tour to the Taj Mahal or around Agra. Drive to Bharatpur for a bird watching tour by cycle rickshaw in Keoladeo National Park. (L,D)
Day 10 : Train to Ranthambore
Transfer to Bharatpur for the train to Ranthambore National Park. Enjoy a canter safari in the park, seeking out the elusive stripes in the undergrowth. (B,L,D)
Day 11 : Ranthambore National Park
Explore Ranthambore with two canter safaris around the park. (B,L,D)
Day 12 : Train to Delhi
Board the train to Delhi where the afternoon is free. (B)
Day 13 : Fly Delhi to UK
Fly to the UK, arriving home later the same day. (B)
